A Week Ending in a Celebration

A week has ended and I am exhausted. The first act of EVITA is done. We need alot of cleaning and I need to learn how to do the choreography and sing at the same time. Right now it feels like when you try to pat your head and rub your stomach. Ughh! I hate that feeling. But it will solidify over time.

Anyway, at the end of the week on SUNDAY it was BROOKE'S and MICHELLE'S birthday Michelle is a local that is in the ensemble and Brooke is a New York actor that came out for the show like me. She is also in the ensemble and understudy Eva. She is freakin' hilarious and makes me laugh. So to celebrate a birth and the end of a hard working week we hit the town.

Here are some picks to prove it.

More SNOW in DENVER

The second rehearsal is DONE. WE pretty much have the first really long funeral section of the show done. So far there is a lot of choreography thrown at us and lets not talk about the music and those LATIN lyrics and I am not talking SPANISH. I am talking real LATIN. UGHH! I will get them by opening...hopefully ;)

While in rehearsal it snowed like crazy. Spring is HERE! EASTER is around the corner and there is still SNOW. I am not really mad at it but I really would like some warm weather. I am not going to LIE. I want THE SUN! Lets CALL THE SUN. Who do I have to write? Where can I send the LETTER

I made it to DENVER!

The plane laded in what seemed to be a WINTER WONDERLAND. A couple days Denver was in a State of Emergency because of the crazy amount of dumpage of SNOW they had. It's Spring people! Ughh! But it's beautiful with the mountains and open land. Reminds me of UTAH.

Anyway, I got here just fine and got really excited. The NYC cast that I met at the airport are all really awesome. I am excited to work with them. Rehearsal starts tomorrow! The first DAY of class;) Now, what do I wear? lol. I hope I make a good impression. We will see.

I am tired and going to hit that sack. Big day tomorrow. Here are some pictures of my going away party and my beautiful STUDIO hotel room at the Residence Inn here in DENVER. As you will see, its a nice hook up.

First table of friends. Alot of people showed we had to split up.

2nd table of friends. I got a gift of FARKLE. A dice game that is so much fun and will change your life.
I can't wait to show my new cast how to play
My Super Raymond made these appetizers for my party. He is so nice. You would only be so lucky to have a Super like RAYMOND!

Japan You Are Going To Be Missed

Less than ONE WEEK LEFT!!! Things are going well. I have been having a blast this last month here in Tokyo. I have been so busy hanging out and getting all ready to go back to NYC. I am so excited.

This past month we had a sayonara party. It was so sad to know that I probably won't see most of these people anymore. I met some great people and hope that we can keep in touch. The shows have been going great. I have been getting some fan letters. It is so nice to hear what they have to say plus they send me pictures of the show. I love them. There is one family who have been great and sent me some great pictures and letters. They are an amazing family. They have 2 cute daughters. I love it when they are at the show. They are always smiling and having a good time which in return make me enjoy being on stage. It's a great feeling.

Well, this is my last post. I am thinking of keeping it and just change it a little for my experience in New York. Keep checking ;)
I am not going to make this long and sentimental. But I have to say since I have been here I had some rough times and had some really really good ones. The good experiences definitely out way the bad ones. I learned alot out here. The Japanese are great people and being around them had made me a better person. Coming out here was a rough decision for me and at times I thought maybe it was a wrong choice. But the other day, when I was back stage ready to go on for a number, it hit me. I felt like being here was so worth it. I made some great friends, explored a great country, put some smiles on some faces, and realized that the gospel is hands down one of the most important things in my life and needed it more than anything.

I want to thank everyone who supported me in this journey. I look forward to seeing you all again and sharing with you my experiences. Please feel free to ask me anything about it. I would love to share.

ARIGATO GOZAIMASHITA JAPAN! I LOVE YOU!

Another Birthday Gone By

My Very Japanese Birthday was so much FUN! I had such a great weekend. It started Friday night. I went Latin Dancing with a couple of people in an area of Tokyo called Roppongi. Here are some pics.

After a late night, I had to go to work the next day. I was A shift which meant that I had the first 2 shows. I knew I could do them fine and also I knew that I would be taking a nap for the rest of the day until it was time to go home. I was excited but I was woken up by my cast singing and the girls wishing me a very Japanese Birthday.

(Pic was deleted sorry.)

Those girls are crazy and I love them! There was also yummy cake that I will post pics of it later. Another cast member took the picture with his camera. I was half asleep and couldn't remember to take a pic :)

The next day Sunday I was lucky to get it off. I went to church and then to a members home(The Welch's) for a birthday dinner. It was very nice of them.

It was a long weekend eating alot of food and cake. Today on my day off I went to the Gym to work it off and rested which was well needed. Today will be a month before I head to NYC. I am excited. This month is going to fly by I have a feeling. I am going to have visitors for a couple of days in the middle of March. It a guy I met while doing Peter Pan and South Pacific at the end of 2006. He was a roommate of mine for a month. I don't really know him that well but he and his friend needed a place to stay. So I am sure I will be showing them around and hanging out. Its going to be fun.

I want to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. Thanks for all the emails, posts, gifts, food...and the LOVE! I really do appreciate it. I feel really loved. Thank you!

Love,

Tony
